Equine photography is at the heart of what I do, especially capturing the relationship between horse and human. I also photograph seniors, families, and pets—always with a relaxed, fun approach and an eye for the moments that feel real.

Equine
Owning three horses myself, I understand that the bond we share with our horses is something truly special. They become part of our lives, our families, and our stories—and those relationships deserve to be captured.
Whether you want beautiful portraits of your horse, images of you and your horse together, or a combination of both, your session will be designed around what makes your relationship unique.
Choose from a dramatic black-background session, an outdoor session, or a combination of both for a gallery with a variety of looks and personalities.
And because every horse is different, I don't believe in rushing the process. Session time is based on your horse and what they need to feel comfortable and relaxed. I'll take the time to let them settle in, get curious, and be themselves.

Family Portraits
Your family is always changing, and these seasons of life pass far too quickly. My goal is to capture the connection, personalities, and little moments that make your family uniquely yours.
Family sessions are relaxed, fun, and focused on creating images that feel genuine—not overly posed or forced. We’ll take our time, enjoy the experience, and create photographs you’ll love looking back on for years to come.
Sessions are approximately 1–1½ hours and include one wardrobe change, if desired.
Pet Portraits
Our pets are so much more than pets—they’re family. They’re part of our everyday lives, our routines, and some of our most treasured memories. They deserve to be remembered just as they are.
Whether you want portraits of your pet on their own, images of you together, or both, I’ll take the time to create a relaxed experience that allows their personality to shine through. Every pet is different, so I never rush the session. My goal is to let them settle in, be comfortable, and simply be themselves.
I also offer legacy sessions for senior pets and pets facing serious or terminal illness, creating a quiet, meaningful experience focused on preserving the personality and connection you share. These sessions are handled with the utmost care, patience, and sensitivity.
Because the years with them may never feel long enough, but their memories can last forever.

Your 1½–2 hour session gives us plenty of time to relax, explore, and create a variety of images without feeling rushed. Sessions include up to two wardrobe changes, with the flexibility to incorporate meaningful locations, hobbies, and personal touches that make the experience uniquely theirs.

Hi, I’m Susan—a South Carolina native who now proudly calls Oxford, North Carolina home. After graduating from college, I served in the U.S. Air Force, with my final duty station in Fayetteville, NC. When my service ended, I chose to settle here in North Carolina, where I continue to build both my life and my photography business.
My love for photography started early, earning my Girl Scout photography badge with a 110 Instamatic camera (which I still have!). Over the years, I naturally became the one capturing moments at family gatherings, holidays, and everyday life. Seeing those memories resurface years later—and the joy they bring—is what inspired me to turn my passion into something more.
Today, I specialize in capturing genuine, meaningful moments—the kind you’ll look back on and cherish for years to come. I believe the best photos aren’t forced or overly posed, but real, heartfelt, and true to you.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m a wife, a mom, a veteran, and a proud pet parent to three dogs, one cat, and three horses. Life is busy, a little messy, and full of beautiful moments—and that’s exactly what I love to capture.
